Visa, Refund & Cancellation Policy (AHTSx Canada)
Visa Support for International Participants
Upon successful registration and payment, international participants may request an official visa invitation letter for the Africa HealthTech Summit × Canada (AHTSx Canada).
Please note that the issuance of a visa is solely at the discretion of the Government of Canada. The Summit organizers have no influence over visa decisions and cannot guarantee visa approval.
Visa-Related Refunds
If a registered participant is unable to secure a Canadian visa, the registration fee will be refunded minus a CAD $50 administrative processing fee, provided that:
- The visa refusal is communicated in writing (e.g. refusal notice), and
- The request for refund is submitted no later than 14 days before the event start date.
General Cancellation by Participant (Non-Visa Related)
- Cancellations requested more than 30 days before the event are eligible for a refund minus a CAD $50 administrative fee.
- Cancellations requested 30 days or less before the event are non-refundable.
- Registrations are transferable to another participant from the same organization, subject to prior written notice.
Event Changes or Cancellation
The organizers reserve the right to modify the program, speakers, venue, dates, or format of the event if required.
If the event is cancelled by the organizers, participants will be offered:
- A full refund of registration fees paid, or
- The option to transfer the registration to a future AHTS event.
The organizers are not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, visa fees, or related expenses.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
By completing registration, participants agree to this refund and cancellation policy.
Chargebacks or payment disputes initiated without first following the refund process outlined above may result in the forfeiture of eligibility for refunds and future event participation.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under Canadian law.
